If you email us we collect the address you write from and the contents of your message. We do not run an analytics tracker on this site. Our hosting and CDN providers keep standard server logs — IP address, page requested, referrer and browser user-agent — for security and diagnostics.

Email correspondence is used to reply to your message and is retained as long as needed to handle the conversation. Server logs are used to keep the site available and secure.

Email replies and server logging rely on our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating the site and corresponding with readers. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are set only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. Newsletter delivery is handled by an email service provider acting as our processor under a written agreement. Analytics is processed by a UK or EU-based provider that does not set advertising cookies.

Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days for technical clean-up. Email correspondence: up to 24 months from last contact. Analytics data: aggregated only after 14 months.
